QUARANTINE GOBLINS

This is a clip from a larger project I worked on with some friends during quarantine. My role in the project involved sculpting and texturing the goblin, lighting, rendering, and incorporating CG elements with live footage in Nuke. The idea was born from the random objects around the apartment that seem to always go missing, even when you haven't even left the place in months. What if there were some small goblin stealing your socks and forks and nesting in your dirty laundry. We wanted try using CG elements with practical props and effects on a live plate and have them interact in a believable way. While quite incomplete, I do think this project is a great example of my versatility as a generalist, and frankly, I just had way too much fun making it not to include it. I am really proud of what we were able to complete regardless of the short amount of time we had, our serious lack of equipment, and all the circumstances surrounding the pandemic. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such talented friends and I hope we're able to finish this one up sometime soon.
